Hello everyone,
I hope this past year has been treating you all well. And if it hasn’t, take heart—the new year is quickly approaching. There’s something comforting about this time of transition, a moment where we can pause, reflect, and imagine what we hope to build in the months ahead.
For us, this season is a reminder of why we started writing in the first place. My son J.J. and I (Raine) will be continuing our writing journey with renewed energy and intention. We’re still searching for the perfect literary agent who champions Young Adult and Middle Grade Fantasy—someone who believes in heartfelt magic, found family, and the quiet power of hope just as much as we do. If you happen to know one. Please send them our way.
In the meantime, we’ll keep shaping the mystical and magical world of The Whispers from the Trees series. Every chapter teaches us something new about our characters, our craft, and ourselves. It’s been a joy to watch this world grow roots and branches, and we can’t wait to share more of it with you.
As we step into the new year, we’re carrying gratitude for everyone who has supported our creative journey so far. Your encouragement means more than you know. Here’s to fresh pages, new possibilities, and stories that remind us that wonder is never far away.
Here is a little snippet from The Whispers from the Trees for your enjoyment. This of course is always subject to change.
The Rabbit Appears
He first saw it in the wheat field—a white rabbit with impossible blue eyes, watching him as if it already knew his name. It didn’t run. It waited. And when it finally hopped away, Jamison felt something shift, as though the world had quietly opened a door just for him.
Happy Holidays everyone and may you have a very happy new year.
